The Start of our Newborn Cloth Diaper Stash

The last couple of days I have started experimenting with a few cloth diaper patterns. Once I decide which patterns I like best then I will begin an assembly style production.
Below are 3 different a patterns. From the top: Rita's Rump Pockets (made from recycled receiving blankets from yard sales) Second Row left to right: Darling Diapers Tiny Newborn, Darling Diapers Tiny Newborn (nighttime), Fattycakes Newborn.

Darling Diapers Tiny Newborn again, my favorite pattern so far.....look how tiny! Will fit a baby 8 lbs and under...

Our little baby at 20 weeks is 12oz!

Kinda looks a bit like an alien I think! :)
This baby is extremely active! The doctor had a hard time getting a good picture because the little thing was squirming around so much.

Kauai Vacation

Here are a few pictures from our Kauai Vacation, we were there for 10 days. We did a lot of snorkling, laying on the beach, boogie boarding and took a 5 1/2 hour boat tour of the Napali Coast.

We stayed in a great condo with an ocean view in Princeville for 8 days and the last two days we had planned to camp, but it was a total down pour and our tent flooded so we just got a hotel.

A monk seal we found laying on Secret Beach.

Trying to get a good shot of the waterfall.

A Luai Dereck and I went too.

My parents met us in Kauai for 8 of the 10 days....We had a blast touring the island with them.

Early Christmas

Christmas came early for me this year. My dear husband, bought me a beautiful sewing machine. It is a Viking Sapphire. It was a classroom machine at the local quilting shop. I actually used it during my class one day....my poor old yard sale Singer just doesn't even compare to this machine. I was so excited to come home one day and see it setting on our kitchen table, Dereck just couldn't wait until Christmas to give it to me. :)

This is my second completed quilt. Yes, it is the same pattern as the last quilt but I decided that I needed to practice again with a pattern I was familar with. This quilt is flannel which presented a new set of challenges because I found out rather quickly that flannel stretches!
